Specialty Inks and what they do

Screen printing has been around for decades, but newer innovations have made screen printing just as exciting as when it was first invented. Most screen printing is done with plastisol ink. As the name suggests, it is a plastic based ink that allows for a durable print that stays bold for years. For a softer feel there is the option of water based and discharge ink. These work best when you really want a soft, subtle image that feels like its made into the shirt. Although plastisol and water based are the most common, there are many specialty inks that all have specific purposes.

Puff Ink - Just like its name, this ink puffs out of the shirt giving it a great texture.

High Density Printing - Similar to puff ink, high density comes out of the shirt but has a more rubbery/thicker feel than puff ink. High Density is your best option if you want to add thick dimension to your design.

Metallic/Glitter Ink - Pretty straight forward, if you want your design to be as eye-catching as possible, nothing works better than having your design literally glistening in the light.

Glow in the Dark - What would look better for your midnight 5K race than having everyone glowing as they cross the finish line!

Suede ink - This ink gives that great feel of suede to any design you choose. When people impulsively want to touch your shirt, they’re sure to want to buy one!
